Tracks and Submissions
The Research Track is open to novel research contributions of both theoretical and empirical nature, including regular research papers and Empirical / Experience / Reproduction / Case Study (EERCS) papers. The track uses a double-anonymous review process.
The Industry Track is a showcase for industrial contributions to performance engineering, sharing practical use of performance engineering, problems, best practices, and datasets from industry, and fostering interaction between industry practitioners and the academic community. This track is not double-blind.
Authors of performance-focused papers published in selected journals are invited to submit to the Journal First Track and present their work at ICPE 2027.
The Industry Presentation Track offers a unique platform for industrial contributors to showcase their insights, experiences, and practical applications of performance engineering.
The Artifacts Track welcomes artifacts that support, extend, or enable performance-engineering research — including software, datasets, benchmarks, traces, models, scripts, experimental workflows, containers, or other reusable research outputs. This includes artifacts accompanying accepted Research and Industry Track papers, as well as independently submitted data and tools.
The Emerging Research Track offers the opportunity to present and discuss new ideas and vision papers on emerging research challenges. Also, preliminary results from the latest research may be presented, where some aspects of the work remain open, possibly with limited or no evaluation.
The Poster and Demo Track welcomes posters outlining work relevant to the performance engineering community, as well as technical demonstrations providing an opportunity to showcase an existing tool or a research prototype. Submissions can also be related to papers submitted to the other tracks.
The Tutorials Track welcomes proposals for tutorials presented by leading scientists and practitioners in areas of relevance for the ICPE community.
The Workshops Track welcomes proposals for workshops on specific aspects of performance engineering.
The Data Challenge Track invites participants to address the challenges presented by a performance dataset provided by the organizers.
General Submission Information
Submissions to all tracks must be uploaded through the ICPE 2027 submission system using HotCRP. Each track has its own submission link, available on the conference website.
Submissions must conform to the ACM proceedings format. The double-column format must be used for all paper submissions unless a track call explicitly states otherwise.
At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register at the full rate, and at least one author (who may or may not be the same as the one who registered at the full rate) is required to be registered for the conference, attend the conference in person, and present the paper. Presented papers will be published in the ICPE 2027 conference proceedings, published by ACM and included in the ACM Digital Library.
The conference will follow the ACM Code of Ethics, ACM Publications Policies, and ICPE-specific reviewing and submission policies.
